The fact is, people enjoy tobacco. They like the taste, the smell, not to mention the relaxation and the nicotine. I do not know a single person who has given up smoking as a direct result of the smoking ban, but I know of a lot of people that have stopped going out as a direct result.

However, I know of at least a couple of people that have taken up this new habit in order to be able to indulge their habit and still come out to the pub.

Snuff has been around for a good couple of hundred years; the earliest reported use was when Columbus discovered the Americas and witnessed the Taino-Indians in Haiti using it. The earliest use in the Western world was in 1561 when the Queen of France, Catherine de Medici used it for medicinal purposes. Following this it become fashionable to snort tobacco, and so snorting was much more popular than smoking.

These days it could not be easier to indulge in a little snuff habit. There are many different varieties of snuff available, some of which come in a little pre-filled bullet, some of which come in a more traditional tin allowing you to take a pinch whenever you want. There is an abundance of flavours available; if youw ant your tobacco to taste and smell like tobacco you can go for a traditional, unflavoured variety, but if you want something that tastes of tia maria, or oranges, or strawberries or whatever you fancy, there is that option too!

Snuff is a tobacco product that contains nicotine, and so of course it is addictive and can cause some health problems, but it is certainly a lot better for your health than smoking! And with the added benefit that pubs and restaurants cannot ask you to leave if you put a pinch of snuff up your nose, it is easy to see why we are tuning the clocks back on our tobacco habits!

So it is with people like me in mind that Snuff Bullets were invented! With bullets you can administer a perfect sized dose of your chosen snuff (my favourite at the moment being Dust, but I’ll go into that another time!) whenever or wherever you happen to be.

I’ve noticed that there are loads of different kinds of bullets out there at the moment, but I’m really happy with my purple Blizzard. It’s as easy as ABC to use; just fill it up and away you go. Using my Blizzard I can take a hit whenever I want, and most importantly of all, it looks pretty (hey, no-one ever said I wasn’t allowed to be feminine every once in a while!)

I do find that if I’m out on a massive night I may need to take extra provisions with me, but my bullet is so easy to refill that this isn’t a problem, however if I just want a little hit during the day it carries an ideal amount to keep me going.

There are loads of other bullets available; I’m looking at getting the Posh Metal Bullet at the moment, as it is a little more heavy duty than my Blizzard, and I’m pretty certain that one of these days I’m going to end up doing something stupid that will break it, but for now it fulfils my needs nicely.
