Blue Lotus

I thought I’d try something that is completely natural with no added ingredients, chemical or otherwise. I didn’t want anything too intense, just something relaxing, calming, and if there were any euphoric side effects, so much the better!

Blue Lotus seemed to fit that description nicely, so I ordered a couple of packets to experiment with.

At first I tried rolling it up and smoking it in a joint. Probably not the most effective use of my time, as I later discovered! Tasted nice, and was as relaxing as any normal smoke is, but there were no outstanding effects from this.

However, I later found that soaking it in a glass of wine works wonders!  I soaked around 10g in a large glass of wine for several hours. After drinking the wine (and eating the soggy leaves and flowers – doesn’t taste good but I didn’t want anything to go to waste ^_^) I noticed the effects starting to creep on me pretty rapidly; after only about 20 minutes I was incredibly relaxed with quite a nice sense of euphoria kicking in. I am told that with higher doses and longer soaking times, this sense of euphoria can be mildy hallucinogenic, so maybe I’ll have a little experiment with that!

Anyway, in the meantime this was a really wonderful way to relax after a highly stressful day. Also had some rather lovely aphrodisiac side effects – which I don’t think my partner was too unhappy about ;) And with no come down at all, this was probably one of my favourite legal highs. I’ll definately be getting Blue Lotus again.
